Leo van der Aalst has almost twenty years experience with structured testing in all of its aspects: strategy, co-ordination, preparation, realization, consulting, and innovation. One of his activities was to develop a generic model for implementing test service centers at customer locations. This model has been used several times since by large companies in The Netherlands and Germany. He was co-responsible for the implementation of a ‘test factory’. In this test factory several test assignments are carried out for multiple clients (test outsourcing). Leo is co-author of TMap® Next, a regular speaker at conferences and author of several articles (i.e. risk based testing, benefits of a test service centre).

Danny Allen came to Rational through the acquisition of Watchfire. Danny brings with him several years of business and technology-related experience including penetration testing and internal system remediation for one of Canada's biggest universities. In his role as a security researcher he is closely involved with enterprise global customer deployments, researching and evaluating technologies, and helping define and recommend strategic directions for Rational’s security solutions. Danny has published several whitepapers and articles and participates in industry working groups. He has also spoken at security events and is often called upon by key media including Associated Press, Bloomberg, and the Wall Street Journal for his opinions regarding web application security. Danny holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Information Systems from Carleton University.

  Paul Anderson

Paul Anderson is VP of engineering at GrammaTech, a spin-off of Cornell University that specializes in static analysis. He received his B.Sc. from Kings College, University of London and his Ph.D. in computer science from City University London. Paul manages GrammaTech’s engineering team and is the architect of the company’s static-analysis tools. He has helped a wide variety of organizations, including NASA, the FDA, the FAA, MITRE, Draper Laboratory, GE, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing, apply automated code analysis to critical projects. Paul has worked in the software industry for sixteen years, with most of his experience focused on developing static-analysis, automated-testing, and program-transformation tools.

Jon Bach is senior consultant and manager for corporate intellect at Quardev, Inc., a Seattle outsource test lab where he manages testing projects ranging from a few days to several months using Rapid Testing techniques. In 2000, Jon and his brother James invented the “Session-Based Test Management” technique for managing and measuring exploratory testing. In his thirteen years of testing, Jon has been a test contractor, full-time test manager, and consultant for companies such as Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard. He is an international keynote speaker and author of over 100 articles on software testing. Much of this time was spent was working as a contractor for corporations, universities, and the US Air Force.
