World-Class Test Automation: You Can Build It Too

Add to calendar

Join Chris Loder as he describes the test automation framework they have created from the ground up at Halogen Software. Chris shares the environment they have put together to run in virtual machines, physical hardware, and mobile devices—with Jenkins keeping track of it all. He explains their use of the keyword driven and page object approaches, and how that has allowed a high rate of automated test case development from all members of the quality team. At Halogen, they run 6,000 unique regression web tests daily—quickly and consistently. Chris shows how they built their automation with both action retry and test case retry to ensure smooth and successful regression runs. Finally, he explains the extensive reporting that the framework at Halogen provides and how they use it to quickly identify potential issues. Automation has become a vital piece of the release strategy at Halogen. Come and explore how it could be vital in your company as well.
