Test-a-Thon: Test to Make a Difference

Find Bugs and Make a Difference

This year STAREAST is teaming up with Humanitarian Toolbox to find some bugs and make the world a better place. Visit the interactive Test-a-thon between Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8 to help test the code in applications that have become vital resources for many disaster relief organizations. Use the skills and techniques you're learning at the conference to make a difference. Compete with your fellow testers to find bugs, join speakers to practice skills and techniques presented in class, participate in discussion groups, and more!

  • Kick-off the Test-a-thon with pizza and beer on Tuesday, May 6 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Find the most bugs and you can win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes

Humanitarian Toolbox

Humanitarian Toolbox connects people like you with organizations in need of your expertise. You can build the next generation of life-saving tools and refine them to meet new needs as they arise. They keep track of these tools and get them into the right hands as quickly as possible. It's all open-source, so tools can be adapted to particular situations as they evolve. Read their blog to learn more about what Humanitarian Toolbox is working on.
