About the Conference

Q. What is a typical daily schedule?

Monday: Pre-Conference Training Classes begin from 8:30am-5:00pm with lunch at noon

Tuesday & Wednesday: Attend either a full-day Tutorial or two half-day Tutorials from 8:30am–4:30pm, with lunch at noon, and a welcome reception starting at 4:30pm on Wednesday

Thursday & Friday: Start your day with a keynote at 8:30am, then choose from a variety of 45 min concurrent sessions held throughout the day with refreshment breaks and lunch. Meet with solution providers throughout the day in the Expo and participate in the Expo games and evening Expo reception.

Q. What is the recommended conference attire?

Casual, comfortable attire is recommended for both speakers and attendees. In April, the weather in San Diego typically ranges from the 80s during the day to mid 60s at night (Fahrenheit). You may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater for the evenings or varying temperatures in the hotel. To check the current weather in San Diego, please click here.

Q. What should I expect if I have dietary restrictions?

Most conference registration packages include continental breakfast and lunch. For special dietary restrictions, please visit the conference help desk to notify the staff.

Q. How do I access the conference proceedings?

Most conference keynote, tutorial, and concurrent session PDF presentations are available through the conference “Alumni Hall.” To access these presentations, please either login or create an account at members.techwell.com using the same email address that you used to register for the conference. Detailed instructions will be emailed to you both before and after the conference takes place. If you need additional help after receiving the instructions, please contact client support at [email protected].

Q. How may I become a conference speaker?

Opportunities to speak at this conference are already closed. However, alternate speaking opportunities are available for other upcoming events; click here for more information.

Q. Do I need to reserve a seat in any of the tutorials or concurrent sessions?

Tutorials: Space is limited in certain tutorials, so we highly recommend reserving your seat early. As we get closer to the conference, some popular tutorials may be full. All tutorial selections must be made by Friday, April 21, 2017. Once at the conference, we will try to accommodate any requests to change your pre-selected tutorials, but space is not guaranteed.

Concurrent Sessions: The Thursday and Friday concurrent sessions do not require pre-selection. You may enter or leave any concurrent session at any time, space permitting.

Q. Will there be a live virtual conference?

Q. Will wifi be available at the conference?

For your convenience, complimentary wifi is available in the conference wifi lounge area.

Q. What are the conference registration fees and what do they cover?

Q. What types of discounts are offered for this conference?

Q. Should I bring a laptop computer?

A laptop is not required for the conference so the decision to bring a laptop is up to you. Some tutorials, however, do require laptops and are clearly designated on those tutorial description pages. If you decide to bring a laptop for note taking or personal use, internet access may not be available in sessions or classrooms. Please note that TechWell does not provide storage or take responsibility for laptops or other personal items at the conference.

Q. What is TechWell's cancellation policy?

Registrations cancelled after Monday, March 27, 2017, are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. No cancellations or refunds may be made after Monday, April 3, 2017. Q. I have dietary restrictions, how is this addressed at public trainings or conferences?

We strongly encourage you to advise us after you register of any dietary restrictions you may have. We want to ensure that you have proper food during your training to support your learning goals. We cannot guarantee that all venues can support all dietary requests, but with advance notice, we can provide options and develop a plan for your meals. Requests like vegan, vegetarian, no pork, no alcohol, Kosher and gluten free are typically easy for hotels to provide.

Q. Is parking included in my conference registration fees?

If you are traveling to the conference and parking at the conference hotel, you will need to pay the hotel’s daily parking rate.

Q. Once I get to the hotel, how will I know where to go for the conference?

Once you arrive at the hotel, conference signs will direct you to the conference help desk. If you have difficulty finding this location, please go to the hotel lobby and the hotel staff can direct you to the conference help desk area.

Q. What should I do if the conference hotel is completely sold out of rooms?

We do our best to keep rooms available at the conference hotel until the room block deadline date of April 3, 2017. However, if you are trying to reserve a room and the hotel is completely sold out, we recommend using your preferred travel site for the best deals and closest alternates to the conference hotel.

Q. Will I be guaranteed a room at the conference hotel?

Discounted hotel rooms at the conference hotel are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Early hotel reservations are highly recommended.
