Shamim Ahmed is a thought leader in DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Continuous Testing and Application Life-cycle Management (ALM). He has more than 15 years of experience in large-scale application design and development, software product development and R&D, application quality assurance and testing, organizational quality management, IT consulting, and practice management. He is currently the CTO for Continuous Delivery (CD) business unit at CA Technologies, where he is responsible for innovating DevOps solutions using CA's industry leading technologies. His key focus areas include: applications of AI/machine learning to DevOps, "model-based everything" in CD (specifically model-based requirements, testing, deployment, release, test data and services) , site reliability engineering (SRE), and new-age application architectures such as cloud and microservices. Shamim holds two US patents, has been awarded the “Innovator of the year” award at HP, authored several technical publications and has a passion for customer delight.
