World Quality Report 2014-15 - Emerging QA & Testing Trends

  • The share of new development projects in testing budgets, including SMAC technologies, exceeds maintenance projects for the first time since 2012: from 41% in 2012 to 52% in 2014
  • The proportion of Testing in the IT budgets continues to rise– from 18% in 2012 to 26% in 2014
  • The focus on non-functional requirements such as performance, security and ease of use is increasing especially for mobile testing. 
  • Some 93% of organizations are using agile development methods
