1. What are the Better Software Conference East registration fees and what do they cover?

2. What are the registration hours?

Sunday, November 10: 7:30am–10:00am and 4:00pm–6:00pm
Monday, November 11: 7:00am–4:30pm
Tuesday, November 12: 7:30am–5:00pm
Wednesday, November 13: 7:00am–5:00pm
Thursday, November 14: 8:00am–5:30pm
Friday, November 15: 7:00am–2:30pm (for Summit Attendees only)

3. What is a typical daily schedule?

Monday & Tuesday: Full- and Half-day Tutorials from 8:30am–4:30pm
Wednesday & Thursday: Keynote at 8:30am, and 12:45pm, concurrent sessions held throughout the day in 60-minute segments with refreshment breaks and lunch
Wednesday: EXPO open from 11:00am–2:30pm and 3:30pm–6:00pm
Thursday: EXPO open from 9:30am–2:30pm
Friday: Agile Leadership Summit from 8:30am–3:30pm

4. What is the dress code?

Casual, comfortable attire is recommended for speakers and attendees. In November, the weather ranges from the high 50s during the day to low 30s at night. You may wish to bring a coat for the evenings or varying temperatures in the hotel.

5. What is Software Quality Engineering’s cancellation policy?

Registrations cancelled after Monday, October 21, 2013, are subject to a 20% cancellation fee. No cancellations or refunds may be made after Monday, October 28, 2013. Substitutions may be made at any time before the first day of the program. TO CANCEL: Call the Client Support Group at 904.278.0524 or 888.268.8770 to obtain a cancellation code.

6. How do I register multiple people?

To register multiple people, please call the Client Support Group at 888.268.8770 or 904.278.0524. Groups of 3 or more save up to 30%.

7. How do I receive confirmation of my registration?

Once your registration has been received, a registration confirmation notice will be sent to you via email within two business days (Monday–Friday). Please verify that your email address is entered correctly on the registration form.

8. What types of discounts are offered for this conference?

Please Note—We will always provide the highest possible discount and allow you to use the two largest discounts that apply to your registration.

9. If my confirmation package or my invoice has not arrived within five to ten business days, what should I do?

10. Do I need to reserve a seat in any of the tutorials or concurrent classes?

Seating is limited in tutorials, so please reserve your seat early. As we get closer to the conference, some tutorials may be full. In this case you will receive an email asking you to make another selection. All tutorial selections must be made by November 8, 2013. The Wednesday and Thursday conference sessions do not require reservations. You may enter or leave any session at any time, space permitting.

11. Should I bring a laptop computer?

A laptop is not required for the conference so the decision to bring a laptop is up to you. Some tutorials, however, do require laptops and are clearly designated on the tutorial description page. If you decide to bring a laptop for note taking or personal use, internet access may not be available in sessions or classrooms. Please note that Software Quality Engineering does not provide storage or take responsibility for laptops or other personal items
at the conference.

12. Once I get to the hotel, how will I know where to go for the conference?

Once you arrive at the hotel, signs will be posted directing you to the Hynes Convention Center, where all the action is taking place.  The Convention Center is about a 5 minute covered walk from the Sheraton. Keep an eye out for the Better Software & Agile Development Conference signs directing you to the registration area. If you have any questions during the conference, feel free to ask a member of the Better Software & Agile Development Conference staff.

Project Management Institute PDUs

13. How many Professional Development Units (PDUs) can I earn at Better Software Conference East?

Project Management Institute (PMI) members looking to keep up with PMP credential learning requirements can choose from eighty-eight  approved sessions. In six days up to forty-three PDUs could be acquired at Better Software & Agile Development Conference East.

14. How can I report my PDUs to the Project Management Institute? 

Keep track of all presentations attended throughout the week. Report all PDUs earned by searching the exact session title in the CCRS (Continuing Certification Requirements System).  For step by step instructions on how to claim PDUs in the CCRS you can download an instructional PDF by clicking here, you can also pick up a copy at the registration desk during the conference.
