The Change You Need to Become a DevOps Organization

Seven years ago, Aimee Bechtle began leading DevOps transformations. Her extensive and diverse experience as a transformational change agent across three very different enterprise organizations provided her with keen insights. Aimee will share the lessons she learned that allow her to meet people where they are in their journey, to understand how company history and culture influence the success rate of adoption, and to be empathetic to people’s tolerance for change. She will share with you how DevOps adoption and DevOps as a culture have changed since she first started practicing DevOps, and more importantly, what she thinks it will take to become a DevOps organization. You will learn the techniques Aimee uses to understand an organization’s values, assumptions, and beliefs as foundational to a successful transformation approach. As you explore what it means to be a change agent, you’ll realize how, as someone driving change and transformation, it is often you who ends up changed.
