Mark Garcia

Mr. Mark Garcia joined IBM in 1998 and is a Senior Certified, Executive Architect in IBM’s Hybrid Cloud Group. Mark has over 37 years of experience in software application development, systems integration and enterprise architecture which spans distributed and mainframe platforms. Mark started IBM’s Service Virtualization practice back in 2009 and since then, has helped hundreds of clients implement Service Virtualization at the enterprise level. During the past five years, Mark has been very instrumental in bringing test automation and service virtualization to mainframe audiences, worldwide. Many of Mark’s mainframe customers are now able to shift left in their development and testing process, thus improving quality, efficiencies and reducing infrastructure costs. Prior to that, he was an Enterprise Solution Architect within IBM’s Global Business Services (GBS) practice, working with many large clients such as General Motors, Ford, ANZ (Australia), DHL (Germany), HSBC (Hong Kong), UPS, Lexus/Nexus, Bank of America, and many others. Mark’s hobbies include spending time with his family, playing golf and carpentry around the house.
