Join with your peers in an engaging and highly interactive session to discuss the issues that affect you most. Using answers to the question “As a Leader, What is Keeping You Up at Night?” posed at Thursday’s evening reception, participants will form small groups to work on finding solutions to pressing test management issues. Discussions will review identified issues, barriers to change and focus on innovative strategies and practical next steps. At the end of the think tank, all feedback will be collected and posted online to encourage further collaboration.

In today’s world, software engineering must learn to adapt quickly to changing needs, absorb unavoidable schedule creep, and perform almost perfectly to get our products tested in record time. We're being asked to test more complex systems with fewer people while at the same time innovating, automating, and experimenting. As Engineering Manager in Test for Chrome and the new Chrome Netbook, Joel Hynoski lives in this frenetic world every day. Joel and his small team delivered both hardware and software testing in what might appear to be insane time frames given that ChromeOS was developed and tested with an integrated hardware platform in only a year. Joel explores with you ways to deal with these very real pressures and not just survive but flourish. Together, you'll examine the methods he’s used at Google, the tools they’ve developed, and some new processes they instituted to keep the product on track.
