He's also worked at several smaller companies including OpenDesign and an early attempt at his own social search startup. Goranka Bjedov

Known for her technical achievements and her refreshing wit, Goranka Bjedov works as a Capacity Planning Engineer at Facebook. Her main interests include performance, capacity and reliability analysis, testing and planning. Prior to joining Facebook, she spent five years doing performance testing for Google. Her career also includes a senior engineer and manager positions at Network Appliance and AT&T Labs, respectively. Before joining the industry, she was an Associate Professor in the Purdue University Schools of Engineering. André Bondi is a performance engineer at Siemens Corporate Research, Inc. in Princeton, New Jersey. He has worked on performance issues in several domains, including telecommunications, conveyor systems, finance systems, building surveillance, railways, and network management systems. Prior to joining Siemens, he held senior performance positions at two startup companies and spent more than ten years working on a variety of performance and operational issues at AT&T Labs and its predecessor, Bell Labs. He taught courses in performance, simulation, and operating systems principles at the University of California, Santa Barbara for three years, where he was an Assistant Professor. André holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Purdue University.

has been in testing for more than thirty years and is co-author of Software Inspection, Software Test Automation, and Foundations of Software Testing. She was a founding member of the ISEB Software Testing Board and a member of the working party that developed the ISTQB Foundation Syllabus. Julian Harty


In 2006 Julian Harty was hired by Google as the first test engineer for mobile applications in Europe, handed several cardboard boxes of phones, and told he was now the mobile testing expert. Since then he's learned plenty about testing techniques that work, some that don’t, and ways that automation can help. In the process, Julian started writing and sharing material with others who were interested in testing mobile software. That work has been shared at workshops and tutorials around the world, and the test automation techniques ended up being published as a book and now online. CTO for Conformiq, Antti Huima is a well-known researcher, developer, and speaker in the area of advanced model-based testing. The original creator of Conformiq’s model-based testing technology, Antti relocated to the United States after establishing Conformiq's R&D center in Finland. He has presented at leading industry conferences and regularly serves on conference program committees. Antti studied formal methods and computer security at Helsinki University of Technology and has won numerous awards for his work on model-based test design.
